The above piece was painted by Jacqueline Charis Boden, a local Church Lawton area artist. It commemorates the Old Lawton Hall and is to be offered to the Lawton Memorial Hall. Included in the painting are the "Grey Lady", who is briefly mentioned in the Lawton Manor section of these pages. Also, in the lower left of the painting is "Bully", the bullfinch belonging to Mariana Lawton, the wife of Charles Bourne Lawton. It is reported that "Bully" could sing the entire British National Anthem and upon his death was buried on the Manor and given his very own gravestone.
